Short title, extent and commencement

(1)

This Act may be called the Cost Accountants Act, 1959.

(2)

It extends3 to the whole of India;

(3)

It shall come into force on such date5 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.

3. This is made applicable to the Union territory of Goa, Daman and Diu by s. 3 and the Schedule (w.e.f. 1-8-1965).
