This is further to Circular no. IRDA/INT/CIR/COB/19708/2017 dated 24th August 2017 and IRDA/INT/CIR/CDB/082/05/2018 dated 22nd May 2018 on creation of a Central Database of all Licensed Insurance Sales Persons in India at Insurance Information Bureau of India (IIB) 2. Vide the above circulars all the Insurers and Insurance Intermediaries have been directed to upload data pertaining to their salespersons to IIB, based on their Aadhar Numbers 3. However, considering the constraints in the sharing & storage of Aadhar number due to the recent changes in the rules, it has been decided that the identifier shall be shifted from Aadhar number to PAN. 4. All the insurers and Insurance Intermediaries, therefore, are advised to mandatorily share PAN while uploading insurance salesperson applicant data in ENVOY. 5. It is also directed that in all cases where PAN of an existing salesperson has not already been provided in the data submitted to IIB, the same shall be submitted to the Bureau not later than 14.8.2020.
