Sub: Extension of timelines with respect to compliance of Digital Accessibility Circulars
This is with reference to SEBI Circular ref. no. SEBI/HO/ITD-1/ITD_VIAP/P/CIR/2025/131 dated September 25, 2025, and Exchange circular no. NSE/COMP/75240 dated July 16, 2026, pertaining to Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and Rules made there under - Mandatory Compliance by all Regulated Entities.
In this regard, SEBI vide their Circular no. HO/(411)2026-ITD-5_DIV2/I/17922/2026 dated July 31, 2026, granted extension for "Conduct of Accessibility Audit for the digital platforms and Remediation of findings from the audit" till October 31, 2026. The SEBI circular is attached as Annexure.

SEBI issued circulars on ‘Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and rules made thereunder-mandatory compliance by all Regulated Entities (REs).

SEBI is in receipt of representations from REs requesting an extension of timeline to submit their compliance of provisions of the aforementioned circulars.

Based on the representations received and examination of the status of compliance of REs, the extension is granted for “Conduct of Accessibility Audit for the digital platforms and Remediation of findings from the audit” by October 31, 2026.

All other provisions of the aforementioned circulars shall remain unchanged and shall be complied by REs.
