Upload the ECR and remit the EPF contribution within 15 days after each month closes. The EPF Scheme, 2026 kept the timing but replaced the 1952 Scheme on 29 June 2026. A delayed return now carries a late fee of Rs 500 per day, capped at that month's administrative charges.

Draft Recruitment Rules for the post of Stenographer in EPFO

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has published draft recruitment rules for the post of Stenographer for public consultation. The draft specifies the classification, pay scale (Level-04), age limits (18-27 years), educational qualifications (12th pass), and recruitment methodology (direct recruitment via SSC or approved agency). Stakeholders are invited to submit comments, suggestions, or views regarding the draft clauses, supported by relevant DoP&T guidelines, within 30 days of the circular's date. Submissions must be sent exclusively to the designated email address provided by the HRD division. Comments sent to other addresses will not be considered.
