Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Related technologies, such as local browser storage, work in a similar way. Complied AI uses a small number of them to run the product, remember an interface choice you made, and understand how the product is used.

These cookies are required for the site to work. They cannot be switched off through a consent banner because the product would not function without them.

• Session sign-in cookies. When you sign in, our authentication layer sets a session cookie so you stay signed in as you move between pages, plus a short-lived signed session cache to validate your session without a database lookup on every request. During sign-in with Google or Microsoft, temporary state cookies are set only for the length of the redirect handshake.
• Interface preference. A sidebar_state cookie remembers whether the Act reader sidebar is open or collapsed, so the reader opens the way you left it.

Your light or dark theme choice is stored in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie. It stays on your device and is used only to keep the interface in the theme you selected.

We use PostHog to understand product usage, such as page visits, navigation, and feature interactions, together with technical context such as browser and device type. PostHog uses cookies or local browser storage to distinguish sessions and returning browsers. It is configured to use PostHog's EU cloud region. We do not use this data for advertising or sell it.

You can view, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary sign-in cookies will stop you from staying signed in, and clearing the preference cookie will simply reset the sidebar to its default. Browsing without an account, and reading updates, sources, and Acts, does not require you to sign in.
