FIRMS entity master and business-user upkeep
The standing FIRMS setup that an Indian entity completes before it can submit foreign-investment reports through the Single Master Form.
Standing duty, no filing date

Complete the FIRMS entity master before the entity's first Single Master Form filing and keep it current. An Indian entity that has received, or expects to receive, foreign or indirect foreign investment must create the entity master. The Reporting Master Direction does not set a numeric upkeep deadline.
FIRMS remains the reporting channel for foreign investment. The draft FEMA (Foreign Investment) Rules, 2026 could re-base the forms that depend on the NDI Rules, but the sweep found no portal replacement.
