Trading members must follow revised session timings and order rules for the equity segment pre-open call auction session. The exchange aligns the pre-open framework with the closing auction session framework. The revised timings apply from September 07, 2026. The 15-minute session runs from 9:00 am to 9:15 am with a revised order entry period split into two parts. The exchange permits limit and market orders during the first five minutes. The exchange permits only limit orders during the next five minutes and rejects market order requests. Revealed quantity orders and stop loss orders are not allowed. Market orders receive priority over limit orders during matching. The exchange disseminates specific indicative market data at regular intervals during the session.
