The Central Government extends the customs duty exemption for specified defence equipment imports until 2029. This notification amends notification No. 19/2019-Customs by replacing the year 2024 with 2029 in paragraph 2. Importers of specified defence equipment apply this extension to eligible goods.

G.S.R. (E)- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (12) of section 3, of Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 19/2019- Customs, dated the $6^{\text{th}}$ July, 2019, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i) vide number G.S.R. 476 (E), dated the $6^{\text{th}}$ July, 2019, namely:-
In the said notification, in paragraph 2, for the figures “2024” the figures “2029” shall be substituted.
