The GST Council schedules its 56th meeting for 3rd September 2025 and 4th September 2025 in New Delhi. The meeting starts at 11 A.M. on both days. The Council also schedules an Officers’ Meeting for 2nd September 2025 at 11 A.M. in New Delhi. The GST Council Secretariat will provide the meeting venue and the agenda items at a later time. The Secretary to the Government of India requests the Chief Secretaries of State Governments and Union Territories to inform their respective Finance or Taxation Ministers about this meeting.

Subject- Notice for the 56th GST Council Meeting to be held on 3rd and 4th September, 2025- reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the above subject and to convey that the 56th Meeting of the GST Council will be held on 3rd and 4th September, 2025 at New Delhi. The schedule of the meeting is asfollows:-
- Wednesday, 3rd September, 2025 from 11 A.M. onwards
- Thursday, 4th September, 2025 from 11 A.M. onwards
- In addition, an Officers’ Meeting will be held on 2nd September, 2025 at New Delhi as per the following schedule:
- Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025 from 11 A.M. onwards

The details of the venue of the meeting and agenda items for the 56th Meeting of the GST Council and Officers’ Meeting will be communicated in due course of time.

Kindly convey the invitation to the Hon’ble Member of the GST Council to attend the 56th Meeting of the GST Council.
