The Directorate General of Foreign Trade amends the Handbook of Procedures 2023. The amendment adds Ahmedabad Airport to the list of authorized airports for the personal carriage of gems and jewellery parcels. This change applies to both exports from EOU, SEZ, and DTA units and imports by Indian importers or foreign nationals. Exporters and importers must follow the existing customs procedures for examination and release of these parcels. Export proceeds must continue to arrive through normal banking channels. These changes take effect immediately.

Subject: - Amendments in Paras 4.87 (a) and 4.88 of Handbook of Procedures 2023.
In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 & 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2023, as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment with immediate effect.
- The amendments in Paras 4.87 (a) and 4.88 of HBP-2023, are as under:

Effect of this Public Notice: Import and export of gems and jewellery parcels for personal carriage are now also permitted through Ahmedabad Airport.
