Check the official recordThe Directorate General of Foreign Trade has amended Para 2.90 of the Handbook of Procedures 2023 regarding the issuance of Certificates of Origin (CoO). The amendment introduces a requirement for all authorized agencies to process applications and issue CoOs exclusively through the designated electronic platform, https://www.trade.gov.in, or any other platform specified by the DGFT. Manual issuance of CoOs outside of this designated system is prohibited and may result in the revocation of an agency's authorization to issue CoOs.

Subject: Amendments to Para 2.90 of Handbook of Procedures 2023.
In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), 2023, as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments to Para 2.90 of HBP-2023:

Effect of this Notification: Authorised agencies for issuance of Certificate of Origin may accept and issue the certificates only from the designated electronic platform as specified by DGFT.
