The Directorate General of Foreign Trade stops the issuance of physical copies for Restricted Import Authorisations for electronic data interchange ports. All restricted import authorizations issued on or after the specified date for electronic data interchange ports are issued electronically only. The system transmits the authorization data directly to the customs port of registration. Authorizations for non-electronic data interchange ports continue on paper. Authorisation holders download soft copies from the official website. Amendments or revalidations for authorizations issued before the effective date continue with paper copies and endorsements.
