The competent authority delegates the settlement of CAG audit fee bills to the respective Accounting Units to ensure timely payment and effective reconciliation. The Accounting Units process and make payments for CAG audit fees for audit periods from FY 2019-20 onwards. For outstanding payments prior to FY 2019-20, the Accounting Units obtain pendency status from the CAG offices. The Accounting Units forward the pendency details to the Headquarters for reconciliation before the Units process any payment.

Subject: Delegation of Powers for Settlement of CAG Audit Fee Bills
The competent authority has approved that, henceforth, the settlement of CAG audit fee bills shall be carried out directly by the respective Accounting Units to ensure timely payment and effective reconciliation.
Accordingly, the following guidelines shall come into effect immediately:
