Subject: Appointment of Designated Officer for Indian Railways under Section 36 of Food Safety & Standard Act, 2006 –regd.

In exercise of the powers conferred to the undersigned under Sub-section (5) of Section 10 and Section 36 of Food Safety and Standard Act, 2006 read with Regulation 1.2.1 (1) of Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of food Businesses) Regulations, 2011, the following officer is hereby appointed as Designated Officer for the area of jurisdiction mentioned against his name under Indian Railways with immediate effect until further order:

The Designated Officer, so appointed shall perform the function of the Central Licensing Authority in accordance with the provisions of Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of food Businesses) Regulations, 2011. This supersedes all earlier Orders in this regard to the above jurisdiction.
