I am to invite your kind attention to my D.O. letter of even number dated 02nd July, 2014 regarding implementation of the Public Procurement Policy of MSE order 2012.
The Policy, which came into force with effect from 1st April, 2012 mandates 20% procurement of products and services from the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). The preparatory period for 20% procurement from MSEs is terminating on 31st March, 2015 and this 20% is being mandatory from 1st April, 2015.
It is also to underline that implementation of this Policy will not only give support to MSEs in marketing their products to CPSUs, but will also encourage them to manufacture new products for the Government Sector Undertakings.
Keeping in view the importance of the Policy and the mandatory provision of 20% procurement of products from MSEs, I would request you that monitoring of implementation of Policy must be taken care of at your Ministry level. I would also draw your attention that information regarding annual procurement and total procurements made by CPSUs have to be put into public domain and Annual Report of the CPSU respectively.

I am to invite your kind attention to my D.O. letter of even number dated 02nd July, 2014 regarding implementation of the Public Procurement Policy of MSE order 2012.
The Policy, which came into force with effect from 1st April, 2012 mandates 20% procurement of products and services from the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). The preparatory period for 20% procurement from MSEs is terminating on 31st March, 2015 and this 20% is being mandatory from 1st April, 2015.
It is also to underline that implementation of this Policy will not only give support to MSEs in marketing their products to CPSUs, but will also encourage them to manufacture new products for the Government Sector Undertakings.
Keeping in view the importance of the Policy and the mandatory provision of 20% procurement of products from MSEs, I would request you that monitoring of implementation of Policy must be taken care of at your Ministry level. I would also draw your attention that information regarding annual procurement and total procurements made by CPSUs have to be put into public domain and Annual Report of the CPSU respectively.
