The National Stock Exchange of India conducts a mock trading session on August 29, 2026. The session tests modifications to the pre-open call auction framework and norms for Exchange Traded Funds. Members must use NEATPlus version 7.9.0 for the first session and versions 7.8.8 or 7.8.9 for the second and third sessions. Members must clear all outstanding orders before each session. Participation is open to all Capital Market segment members. Trades executed during the mock session do not result in financial obligations. Members must follow specific master file and software version requirements for each session.
What you must do
- Use NEATPlus version 7.9.0 for Trading Session-1.
- Reinstall and log in using NEATPlus versions 7.8.8 or 7.8.9 for Trading Sessions 2 and 3.
- Clear all outstanding orders before each session.

Mock trading on Saturday, August 29, 2026 – Testing of modification in the pre-open call auction framework and changes in the norms for Base Price, Price Bands, Call Auction in pre-open session for exchange traded fund (ETF’s)
Exchange will be conducting a mock trading session in the Capital Market on Saturday, August 29, 2026 to test the modalities regarding the following:
- Pre-open call auction framework as per circular no. NSE/CMTR/74969 dated July 01, 2026.
- Norms of Base Price, Price Bands, Call Auction in pre-open session and Close-out procedure for Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) as per circular no. NSE/CMTR/74767 dated June 18, 2026
Further, Exchange will introduce NEATPlus version 7.9.0 for testing the aforesaid pre-open call auction framework. This version will apply only to Trading Session-1 of the mock. After Trading Session 1, members must reinstall and log in using the earlier NEATPlus versions (7.8.8 or 7.8.9) for Trading Sessions 2 and 3. These sessions will follow the existing trading modalities, without changes related to the pre-open call auction framework. Please refer to points A and B for further details.
