The National Stock Exchange conducts a mock trading session on September 05, 2026. This session tests the new NEAT+ 7.9.0 version and modifications to the pre-open call auction framework. Members must use NEAT+ 7.9.0 for the mock session and for live trading starting September 07, 2026. Members using direct connection via NNF must migrate to new market data broadcast parameters. Members must download and load the latest master files before the mock session. The exchange will discontinue NEAT+ version 7.8.9 on October 10, 2026. The mock session also includes testing for the Closing Auction Session in the Equity Cash Segment.

Mock trading on Saturday, September 05, 2026 – Go Live of modification in the pre-open call auction framework – New Version of NEAT+ 7.9.0
Members are required to note that the changes in pre-open call auction framework in the Equity derivatives segment, shall be effective in LIVE from September 07, 2026. Following circulars were issued by Exchange:

In continuation to circular (Download No. 71999) dated December 24, 2025, Exchange shall be conducting a mock trading session in the Equity Derivatives (F&O) segment on Saturday, September 05, 2026. In alignment with above change, Exchange shall introduce a new NEATPlus version (7.9.0). It is recommended that members must use NEATPlus version 7.9.0 from September 05, 2026 for revised pre-open call auction framework.

#Trades from trading session 1 & 2 shall not be available in trading session 3. However, Trades from trading session 1 shall be available in trading session 2. Members are requested to actively participate in all trading sessions.

- For mock session on September 05, 2026 and Live trading on September 07, 2026, kindly download the master files which will be generated by Exchange post completion of end of trading day activities. The files shall be available on the extranet path as per regular timings. Members are advised to load latest master files in the trading application before Mock trading session on September 05, 2026.

- Members using direct connection via NNF may note that existing broadcast parameters shall be discontinued from September 05, 2026 (circular reference NSE/MSD/75324). Accordingly, it is mandatory to migrate to new market data broadcast parameters in FO segment.

- Members are requested to refer updated NEATPlus installation procedure as per the circular NSE/MSD/76159 dated September 03, 2026.

- Circular download reference no. NSE/CMTR/76170 dated September 03, 2026, regarding Operational guidelines and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) on Introduction of Closing Auction Session (CAS) in the Equity Cash Segment. The same shall be available for testing in mock of September 05, 2026 and shall be effective from September 07, 2026 in LIVE.

Pre-requisites / General guidelines for participating in the Mock environment

| Eligibility | All members enabled for trading in the Futures & Options (FO) segment in the live market are automatically eligible for mock trading. Participation is enabled using existing User IDs, IPs, and Box ID mappings from the live environment. |
| Telnet Connectivity | Ensure you can successfully telnet the Exchange host from the IP address you intend to use. |
| Box ID Setup | Confirm that the Box ID is created on the IP with appropriate messages for the segment you wish to trade in. |
| NNF Application Users | If using Non-NEAT Frontend (NNF): a) User ID must be of dealer type. b) It must be converted for NNF. C) It must be mapped with the IP. |
| Branch/User Limits | Set appropriate branch and user limits from the Corporate Manager Terminal before placing orders in the mock session. |
| Exchange Requests for Mock Participation | Send email requests for the following actions with User ID and segment details: a) Pro Enablement b) CTCL Conversion (only dealer IDs) c) Password Reset for Corporate Manager User ID d) Unlocking of Corporate Manager User ID e) Change of Trading Rights (e.g., PRO to CLI, PRO+CLI) |
