The week in brief

What changed

  1. 01

Trading members must file an action-taken report for non-compliances in the system audit and the cyber security and cyber resilience audit for the period ended 31 March 2026, with auditors marking each item Compliant or Non-Compliant on ENIT, under a circular effective 30 September 2026. From that date, clearing members who are also NSE brokers submit 14 Annexure A reports only to NSE under Samuhik Prativedan Manch.

  2. 02

From 18 September, the ARCL triparty repo auction market runs from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., revising the hours in circular NSE/DS/57672.

  3. 03

NSE moved DIGJAM LIMITED to GSM Stage II from 16 September, with trade-for-trade settlement, a price band of 5 percent or lower, a 50 percent additional surveillance deposit, and a series change from EQ to BE, and moved Univa Foods Limited to GSM Stage IV from 17 September, with trading only once a week on the first trading day, a 100 percent deposit, and no upward price movement. It also refreshed ESM and ASM lists: short-term ASM Stage I is 50 percent or the existing margin, whichever is higher, capped at 100 percent, Stage II is 100 percent or the existing margin, whichever is higher, capped at 100 percent, and new long-term ASM inclusions draw 100 percent margin.

  4. 04

From 30 September, NSE Clearing charges an extra 15 percent exposure margin in equity derivatives where the top 10 clients hold more than 20 percent of market-wide position limit, using three months of data and a monthly review. If a surveillance margin also applies, it charges the higher of the two.

  5. 05

Volatility scan ranges for October commodity options on copper, gold, silver, zinc, crude oil, and natural gas run from 5 percent to 30 percent, depending on the commodity. From 21 September, early pay-in through the inventory management system exempts margin on open positions in derivatives on that commodity.

  6. 06

Trading members must integrate with the DoT Mobile Number Revocation List, update customer records, and use the 1600 series only for service and transactional calls. Variable fields in SMS templates must be pre-tagged.

  7. 07

NSE moved the Lakshya Overnight Fund allotment from 21 September to 24 September, and clear funds must reach the clearing corporation by 3:00 p.m. on 23 September. It starts EGR UDiFF bhavcopy files on 25 September, issued October settlement calendars for MFSS and CBRICS, and held mock sessions on 19 September with no new software version.
