The scheme remains open for External Commercial Borrowings and Overseas Foreign Currency Borrowings until December 31, 2026. Authorised Dealer Banks reported total inflows of 143,596 million USD as of September 18, 2026. This total includes 132,980 million USD from FCNR(B) deposits, 5,320 million USD from Overseas Foreign Currency Borrowings, and 5,296 million USD from External Commercial Borrowings.

RBI had introduced a special USD-INR Forex Swap facility covering FCNR(B) deposits, ECB and OFCB inflows on June 08, 2026. As announced vide Press Release dated August 14, 2026, the Scheme was open till August 31, 2026 for FCNR(B) deposits, and will be open up to December 31, 2026 for ECBs and OFCBs.
The position of forex inflows reported by Authorised Dealer Banks till September 18, 2026, under the above facility is given below.
