(DIR) circular: 131/19.5.2014 RESERVE BANK OF INDIA FOREIGN EXCHANGE DEPARTMENT CENTRAL OFFICE MUMBAI-400 001 Notification No. 299/2014-RB March 24, 2014 Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of any Foreign Security) (Amendment) Regulations, 2014 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub-section (3) of Section 6 and sub-section (2) of Section 47 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999), the Reserve Bank of India hereby makes the following amendments in the Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of Any Foreign Security) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 ( Notification No. FEMA 120/RB-2004 dated July 7, 2004 ), as amended from time to time, (hereinafter called the Principal Regulations or the Notification) namely:- 1. Short Title & Commencement:- (i) These Regulations shall be called the Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of Any Foreign Security) (Amendment) Regulations, 2014. (ii) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment to Regulation 2 (i) In clause (k), after the words "or a partnership firm registered under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932" the words, namely, "or a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) as defined under clause (ma) of Regulation 2 of this Notification" shall be inserted; and (ii) After clause (m), the following shall be inserted: "(ma) ' Limited Liability Partnership' (LLP) means a body corporate having perpetual succession duly formed and incorporated under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (No.6 of 2009)."
