RBI announces OMO Sale of Government of India Securities
As announced vide the Press Release 2026-27/1106 dated September 11, 2026, the Reserve Bank will be conducting OMO sale auction of Government of India securities for an aggregate amount of ₹25,000 crore on September 28, 2026.
- The securities being offered for sale in the auction are as below:

- The Reserve Bank reserves the right to:
- decide on the quantum of sale of individual securities.
- accept bids for less than the aggregate amount.
- sell marginally higher/lower than the aggregate amount due to rounding-off.
- accept or reject any or all the bids either wholly or partially without assigning any reason.

Eligible participants should submit their bids in electronic format on the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) system between 9:30 am and 10:30 am on September 28, 2026. Only in the event of system failure, physical bids would be accepted. Such physical bid should be submitted to Financial Markets Operations Department (email, Phone no: 022-22630982) in the prescribed form obtainable from RBI website (https://www.rbi.org.in/Scripts/BS_ViewForms.aspx) before 10:30 am.

The result of the auction will be announced on the same day and successful participants should ensure availability of funds in their current account by 12 noon on September 29, 2026.
