SEBI weekly summary
SEBI updates for 26 October-1 November 2026 change FPI KYC reviews and extend digital accessibility and debenture trustee deadlines.
The week in brief
From 1 December 2026, most FPI KYC reviews move to two- or eight-year intervals according to risk and category; GS-FPI and SWAGAT-FI intervals remain unchanged. Registration continuance no longer requires a no-change declaration or change intimation, but fees must be paid at least 15 days before expiry.
Regulated entities have until 31 January 2027 to appoint a qualified accessibility auditor, audit digital platforms and remedy the findings.
Debenture trustees now have until 27 April 2027 to comply with the separate business unit framework for activities outside SEBI's purview. The other provisions remain unchanged while an expert group reviews the trustee framework.
