Regulated Entities also report incidents through the SEBI Cyber Incident Reporting Portal. The Exchange provides a user manual for the portal in Annexure B. Regulated Entities must ensure compliance with these reporting procedures.

This is with reference to SEBI Circular no. SEBI/HO/ ITD-1/ITD_CSC_EXT/P/CIR/2024/113 dated August 20, 2024, and Exchange Notice 20250306-6 dated March 06, 2025, on “Cybersecurity and Cyber Resilience Framework (CSCRF) for SEBI Regulated Entities (REs).”
In this regard, SEBI has issued Circular No. HO/(449)2026-ITD-5_DIV1/I/19448/2026 dated August 24, 2026 on the subject “Alignment of SEBI's Cyber Incident Reporting Portal with FIRE Format.” The circular provides for alignment of SEBI's Cyber Incident Reporting Portal with the Format for Incident Reporting Exchange (FIRE) Framework developed by the Financial Stability Board (FSB) to facilitate standardized and structured cyber incident reporting.
Further, REs are advised to continue reporting cyber incidents to the Exchange in accordance with the reporting requirements prescribed under Exchange Circular No. 20250108-42 dated January 08, 2025 and other applicable Exchange guidelines, in addition to reporting such incidents through SEBI's Cyber Incident Reporting Portal.
For ease of reference, a copy of the SEBI circular is enclosed as Annexure A, along with the User Manual for the Cyber Incident Reporting Portal enclosed as Annexure B.
