SEBI/HO/MRD/MRD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2024/87 dated June 24,2024 on “Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segment” With the view to ensure orderly trading and protect market integrity, the following price bands in the EGR segment is applicable to prevent acceptance of orders for execution that are placed beyond the price limits- • The Price Range of +/- 5% of previous day’s close price shall be applicable on EGR during pre-open session. • The initial price limit for the price band (dynamic Price Band) shall be set at 10% of the previous close price. • In the event of a market trend in either direction, the dynamic price band shall be relaxed in increments of 5% after the cooling off period of 15 minutes. • During the cooling off period, trading shall continue to be permitted within the previous price band. o If the last trade occurs at 9.90 % or more of the base price, the dynamic price band shall be relaxed to 15% with a cooling off period of 15 mins. Subsequently, if the last trade occurs at 14.90% or more then the same would be relaxed to 20% and so on.
