Members are hereby informed that SEBI, vide circular no. SEBI/HO/OIAE/OIAE_IAD-3/P/ON/2025/01650 dated January 10, 2025, had issued directions relating to nomination in demat accounts and mutual fund folios, with reference to ease of doing investments. The same was communicated by the Exchange vide notice no. 20250316-3 dated March 16, 2025, along with subsequent SEBI circulars and Exchange notices issued in this regard.
In continuation of the above and with a view to further facilitate ease of doing investments, SEBI has issued circular no. SEBI/HO/OIAE/OIAE_IAD-3/P/CIR/2026/12676 dated May 29, 2026, regarding “Modified Norms for Nomination in Demat Accounts and Mutual Fund Folios”.
Members are advised to take note of the aforesaid circular and ensure necessary compliance, wherever applicable. Any further changes or clarifications in this regard shall be communicated by the Exchange, as may be required.
