Members are hereby informed that the SMART Switch feature under BANDHAN CONTRA FUND – NFO has been enabled on the BSE StAR MF platform with effect from August 10, 2026, and shall remain available until August 20, 2026.

Members are advised to take note of the following key features and operational guidelines for facilitating transactions under the SMART Switch feature for their clients intending to participate in the BANDHAN CONTRA FUND-NFO.

Key Features and Operational Guidelines

  • The SMART Switch feature shall be available through the following modes:
    • Manual Entry
    • Bulk Upload
    • APIs
  • The feature shall be available only for Bandhan Mutual Fund schemes, plans, and options as specified in Annexure I. Members are requested to refer to the annexure for detailed scheme credentials to ensure accurate scheme identification.
  • If an investor holds units under the Regular Plan – Growth Option of BANDHAN OVERNIGHT FUND, such units shall be switched only into the Growth Option of the NFO scheme. The same logic shall apply for investments under the Direct Plan – Growth Option. The detailed switch processing logic is provided in Annexure II.
  • For accepting subscriptions under the SMART Switch feature, certain new schemes have been enabled in the Scheme Master, details of which are provided in Annexure III.
  • All purchase transactions received under NFO SMART Switch schemes shall be processed as normal purchase transactions, as per the scheme names outlined in Annexure IV, and shall be reported to the RTA on the transaction day itself, subject to receipt of fund confirmation.
  • Members using Direct APIs/API-based platforms/Bulk Upload options are requested to use the appropriate scheme credentials strictly in accordance with the investor’s requirement for the schemes listed in Annexure IV.
  • The SMART Switch feature shall be available only for lump sum subscriptions and shall be permitted only in non-Demat mode.
  • Transactions under the SMART Switch feature shall be accepted up to 1:00 PM on August 20, 2026.
  • All purchase orders received in SMART Switch schemes up to 1:00 PM on August 20, 2026, and successfully allotted, shall be SMART magically considered as ‘Switch In’ to BANDHAN CONTRA FUND, in accordance with the switch processing logic detailed in Annexure II.
  • All such switch transactions shall be reported to the RTA on August 24, 2026.
  • Members may identify orders placed under the SMART Switch feature through the Remarks column available in the Provisional Order Report and Order Status Report on the BSE StAR MF platform.

Process for ‘Switch Out’ Transactions at AMC/RTA Level:

  • Where an investor already holds existing units in an eligible scheme and makes an additional purchase under the “NFO SMART Switch” plan, only the newly purchased units shall be considered for switch out. The switch out shall be processed on a FIFO basis.

Illustration 1: An investor holding 50,000 existing units in BANDHAN OVERNIGHT FUND - Regular Plan – Growth makes an additional purchase of ₹1 lakh (approximately 75,000 units). The switch out shall be processed for 75,000 units, applying FIFO logic (i.e., 50,000 units from existing holdings and 25,000 units from the recent purchase), irrespective of valuation (gain/loss) on the switch out date.

  • In cases where an investor makes a fresh purchase under the “NFO SMART Switch” plan, all purchased units shall be considered for switch out, irrespective of valuation (gain/loss) on the switch out date.

Illustration 2: An investor makes a fresh purchase of ₹1 lakh (approximately 75,000 units). The switch out shall be processed for 75,000 units, irrespective of valuation on the switch out date.

  • Orders that are rejected or pending final allotment at the RTA level shall not be considered for switch reporting.
  • If an investor executes a partial or full redemption/switch out prior to the SMART NFO switch being triggered to the AMC/RTA, and the investment balance falls below the SMART Switch amount as on August 24, 2026 (i.e., the last day of NFO closure), such transactions shall not be considered for processing at the AMC/RTA level.
