This is with reference to SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/IMD/IMD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2025/26 dated February 27, 2025, pertaining to the regulatory framework for Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs).
Members are hereby informed that various Asset Management Companies (AMCs) have launched Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) schemes and enabled transaction execution in these schemes through the BSE StAR MF Platform.
As communicated by the AMCs, non-accredited new investors are permitted to place multiple purchase orders across SIF schemes on the same day, provided that the aggregate investment amount across all such purchase transactions is ₹10 lakh or more.
Further, based on the clarifications received from the AMCs, members are advised to refer to the attached detailed process note, which outlines the transaction execution process for both accredited and non-accredited investors investing in SIF schemes through the BSE StAR MF Platform.
Members are requested to take note of the above and ensure strict adherence to the prescribed process while executing transactions in SIF schemes.
Members utilizing third-party vendor solutions and/or in-house developed trading applications must ensure that all necessary system, operational, compliance, and process-related arrangements are implemented and validated to facilitate seamless processing of SIF transactions at the AMC/RTA end.
