The exchange credits approved refunds to the designated bank account within 15 to 20 days after receipt of a complete request. Members must also ensure their bank account details are updated on the BEFS Portal to receive these payments.

Circular for members regarding uploading the TDS certificates on BSE Electronic filing system ("BEFS") Portal to claim refund of TDS and tracking its status.
This is to bring to your kind notice that with effect from April 10,2021 all members are requested to upload the TDS certificates on BSE Electronic filing system("BEFS") Portal to claim refund of TDS pertaining to General charges billing, wherein the gross amount is swiped from Members Settlement/Exchange Dues Accounts in the respective years. There will be no requirement to send the certificates physically or via mail.
With effect from June 09, 2026, the process for filing TDS refund application on BEFS Portal has been enhanced. Members can now track the status of their refund application along with payment details under the new tab "Status Report (TDS Refund Request)" available within the "TDS Refund Request" section. Further, the mandatory information required for submitting a refund application has been reduced.
In order to facilitate updation and tracking of refund status on BEFS Portal, with effect from June 09, 2026 requests for TDS refund on general charges shall be accepted only through the BEFS Portal. Requests submitted through any other mode shall not be considered.
TDS Refund, wherever applicable will be credited to the bank account within 15 to 20 days from date of receipt of complete request or receipt of clarification on income verification, whichever is later. For expediated processing, kindly upload the invoice-wise workings in Excel format under the "TDS Working File" tab .
Requirements for filing refund application on BEFS Portal: a. TDS Certificate No. b. TDS Amount (As per TDS Certificate). c. TDS Certificate Copy for attachment. The certificate must be digitally signed, generated from the TRACES portal, and provided in PDF format. d. TDS Refund Claimed Amount. The Refund claimed amount cannot exceed TDS amount mentioned in point 5b. e. Invoice-wise workings in Excel format to be uploaded under the "TDS Working File" tab.
For all other payments, members are advised to make payment on net basis i.e. after deducting applicable TDS (if any). In cases where payment other than general charges is made on a gross basis without deduction of applicable TDS, a separate refund request will need to be raised with the respective department.

Enter the login credentials mentioned below: a) Member Code b) Login Id c) Password
On the left side of the screen click on the option "TDS Refund Request". Next, click on the option "TDS Refund Request Submission". [Image omitted. See the official document.]

If u want to update your basic information, then enter the new details and click on "UPDATE". If not then click on "NEXT". [Image omitted. See the official document.]
Enter all the details and upload the TDS Certificate and TDS working file and click on "SAVE". [Image omitted. See the official document.]

Circular to trading members to upload the Bank details on BSE Electronic Filing System (“BEFS”) Portal.
Further to the notice no 20220323-22 released on March 23, 2022, regarding direct collection of Exchange dues by BSE from trading members, this is to bring to your kind notice that since BSE is collecting gross amount without reducing the amount of TDS, the TDS deducted on the general charges bills shall be directly paid to the trading members to their designated bank accounts. In this regard, it is requested to the trading members to provide their bank account details in the BSE Electronic filing system("BEFS") Portal. The detailed steps showing the process of entering the bank details are mentioned below.
