The Central Government amends the rules for the salary of the Chairperson and members of the Competition Commission of India. The Chairperson receives a consolidated monthly salary of five lakh sixty-two thousand five hundred rupees. Each member receives a consolidated monthly salary of five lakh rupees. The Chairperson and members do not receive a house and a car. These pay rates apply from the first day of January 2024. The rules come into force on the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

सा.का.नि. 544(अ).— केन्द्रीय सरकार, प्रतिस्पर्धा अधिनियम, 2002 (2003 का 12) की धारा 14 की उपधारा (1) के साथ पठित धारा 63 की उपधारा (2) के खंड (घ) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग (अध्यक्ष और अन्य सदस्यों के वेतन, भत्ते और सेवा के अन्य निबंधन और शर्ते) नियम, 2003 का और संशोधन करने के लिए निम्नलिखित नियम बनाती है, अर्थात्:-
(2) ये राजपत्र में उनके प्रकाशन की तारीख को प्रवृत्त होंगे।
"3. वेतन.- (1) 1 जनवरी, 2024 से अध्यक्ष को पांच लाख बासठ हजार पांच सौ रुपये का समेकित मासिक वेतन दिया जाएगा और प्रत्येक सदस्य को पांच लाख रुपये का समेकित मासिक वेतन दिया जाएगा और वे आवास और कार के हकदार नहीं होंगे।"।

स्पष्टीकरण ज्ञापन.- यह घोषित किया जाता है कि भूतलक्ष्य प्रभाव से अधिसूचना जारी करने से किसी भी व्यक्ति के हित पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव नहीं पड़ेगा।

New Delhi, the 2nd September, 2024
G.S.R. 544(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (2) of section 63 read with sub-section (1) of section 14 of the Competition Act, 2002 (12 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Competition Commission of India (Salary, Allowances and other Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2003, namely:––
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
“3. Pay.–– (1) With effect from the 1st day of January, 2024, the Chairperson shall be paid a consolidated monthly salary of five lakh sixty-two thousand five hundred rupees and every Member shall be paid a consolidated monthly salary of five lakh rupees and they shall not be entitled to house and car.”.

Explanatory Memorandum.– It is hereby declared that by issuing the notification with retrospective effect, the interest of no person shall be adversely affected.
