Sub: Strict Implementation of Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) & Periodical Monitoring – Regarding

Madam/Sir,

Attention is drawn to HO Circular No. HRD-I/Aadhaar/attendance/2024/1300 dated 05.03.2025 regarding the implementation and continuous monitoring of attendance through the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) across all offices of EPFO.

  1. CPFC has expressed serious concern over instances where officers and officials are not marking attendance or failing to register their attendance on the biometric system. It is therefore reiterated that all officers and officials posted in Zonal offices and their respective Regional / District Offices must mark their attendance through AEBAS without fail.

  2. All Zonal ACC are requested to monitor the compliance of the above directions as well as conduct periodic/weekly reviews of the AEBAS reports and initiate suitable necessary action, wherever required.

  3. All Zonal ACCs are also directed to forward July month attendance reports for all officers and officials posted in Zonal offices and their respective Regional / District Offices to Head Office within one week.

(This issues with the approval of CPFC)

Yours faithfully,

(Kartikey Singh) Regional P.F. Commissioner-I (HRM-I)
