Sir/Madam,

I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to state that, consequent upon implementation of the Code on Social Security, 2020, necessary action is required to ensure that the benefits of the ESI Scheme are extended to establishments/employees covered under Chapter IV of the Code, in accordance with the provisions of the Code and notifications issued thereunder.

In this regard, it is requested that the availability of ESI medical facilities to mines in the implemented areas under your jurisdiction (in co-ordination with the SROs) may be reviewed and necessary action taken, if required, to create additional medical infrastructure / arrangement, in co-ordination with the Medical Services Division of the HQ office.

This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
