ESIC updates 14-20 September 2026: e-files, LDCE and guard age

ESIC raised the upper age limit for security guards and supervisors to 65 for Ex-CAPF personnel engaged on contract through a private security agency. The extension depends on the person's general health fitness.

Eligible ESIC employees must apply online by 6 October 2026 for the Combined Section Officers' (Grade-B) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2026, for Assistant Director, Section Officer and Manager Grade-I posts. They must give a printed copy to the head of office for verification.

On 14 September 2026, ESIC issued a paperless-office order and required units to send action correspondence to headquarters only through e-files. Offices must clear pending receipts and e-files by 30 September 2026, submit a compliance report on remaining pendency by 1 October 2026, and limit e-office processing to four levels from 1 October 2026.

ESIC set Special Campaign 6.0 to clear pending references, scrap and e-waste, with preparation from 15 to 30 September 2026 and implementation from 2 to 31 October 2026. Heads of offices must review pending 2024-25 annual performance reports on the SPARROW portal and get them processed.

On 15 September 2026, ESIC confirmed Insurance Medical Officers Grade-II and promoted officers from Grade-II to Grade-I.
