The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India launches the second phase of the Central Database of Licensed Insurance Sales Persons in India at the Insurance Information Bureau of India. Insurers and insurance marketing firms upload details of their individual agents and insurance sales persons into the database. Insurers complete the data upload by 30 June 2018. Insurers and insurance marketing firms obtain data formats, user guides, and web links from the portal. Insurers email requests for secure login credentials to the designated contact persons at the Insurance Information Bureau of India.

Re: Constitution of Central Database of Licensed Insurance sales persons in India (ENVOY) at IIB – Phase II
This is further to Circular No IRDAI/INT/CIR/CDB/19708/2017 dated 24.8.2017 which refers to constitution of a Central Database of all Licensed Insurance Sales Persons in India at Insurance Information Bureau of India (IIB). All Insurance Intermediaries have therein been advised to upload requisite details of Qualified Persons, Specified persons and Authorised verifiers, on the database of IIB.
Further to the above, the second phase of ENVOY is now ready. Insurers are hereby directed to upload details of their Individual Agents and IMFs are directed to upload details of their Insurance Sales Persons in the prescribed format. The web link for ENVOY is https://envoy.iib.gov.in and the data formats for web upload, user guide and other details are available in a downloadable format from the web link. Insurers are advised to complete upload of their data not later than 30.6.2018
