Insurers must classify infrastructure investments issued by infrastructure companies with a rating of not less than "A" and an Expected Loss Rating of "EL1" as approved investments under Category Code "IELB". Insurers must re-classify any downgrade below "A" or "EL1" as other investments and report them under Category Code "IOEL". Insurers must value these investments either according to FIMMDA or at applicable market yield rates published by a rating agency registered with SEBI.

आईआरडीएआई (निवेश) विनियम, 2016 के विनियम 14(2) के अंतर्गत शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए प्राधिकरण बीमाकर्ताओं को निर्देश देता है कि "स्वीकृत निवेश" के अंग के रूप में "ईएल1" की अपेक्षित हानि रेटिंग सहित 'ए' से कम रेट नहीं की गयी आधारभूत संरचना कंपनियों द्वारा जारी आधारभूत संरचना निवेश को वर्गीकृत करें और मास्टर परिपत्र-निवेश के अंतर्गत निवेश की श्रेणी के अनुसार "आईईएलबी" श्रेणी कोड के अंतर्गत सूचीबद्ध किया जाना चाहिए।
In exercise of powers under Regulation 14(2) of the IRDAI (Investments) Regulations, 2016 the Authority directs Insurers to classify Infrastructure investments, issued by Infrastructure Companies, rated not less than "A" along with an Expected Loss Rating of "EL1" as part of "Approved Investment" and should be listed under Category Code "IELB" as per Category of Investment under Master Circular - Investments.
इसके आगे, यह भी कि 'ए' या 'ईएल1' से नीचे आधारभूत संरचना निवेश के डाउनग्रेड होने को 'अन्य निवेश' के अंग के रूप में पुन: वर्गीकृत करने और मास्टर परिपत्र-निवेश के अंतर्गत निवेश की श्रेणी के अनुसार कोड "आईओईएल" श्रेणी के अंतर्गत रिपोर्ट किये जाने की आवश्यकता है। उपरोक्त निवेशों के मूल्यांकन या तो एफआईएमएमडीए के अनुसार मूल्यांकित किए जाएंगे या सेबी के पास पंजीकृत किसी रेटिंग एजेंसी द्वारा प्रकाशित संबद्ध बाज़ार उपज दरों पर किए जाएंगे।
Further, any downgrade of Infrastructure Investment, below "A" or "EL1", needs to be re-classified as part of "Other Investments" and reported under Category Code "IOEL" as per Category of Investment under Master Circular – Investments. The valuation of the above investments, shall be valued "either as per FIMMDA or at applicable market yield rates published by any Rating Agency registered with SEBI".
