The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India extends the timeline for the sale and renewal of short term Covid specific health insurance policies. All life, general, and stand alone health insurers offer and renew these policies until September 30, 2021. This extension includes Corona Kavach and Corona Rakshak policies. All other terms and conditions remain valid as specified under the respective guidelines.

विषय: अल्पकालिक कोविड विशिष्ट स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसियों की बिक्री और नवीकरण के लिए समय सीमा का विस्तार Re: Extension of timelines for sale and renewal of short term Covid specific health insurance policies
सभी बीमाकर्ताओं द्वारा पेश किये जाने के लिए अनुमति प्राप्त अल्पकालिक कोविड विशिष्ट स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसियों की ओर संदर्भ आमंत्रित किया जाता है। Reference is invited to the short-term Covid specific health insurance policies permitted to be offered by all Insurers.
परिपत्र संदर्भ सं.: आईआरडीएआई/एचएलटी/आरईजी/सीआईआर/156/06/2020 दिनांकित 23.06.2020 के कोविड-19 विशिष्ट रोगों को कवर उपलब्ध करा रही अल्पकालिक स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसियों को आरंभ करने के संबंध में दिशा-निर्देशों की धारा 5 के आंशिक संशोधन के साथ, सभी बीमाकर्ताओं को 30.09.2021 तक, अल्पकालिक कोविड विशिष्ट स्वास्थ्य पॉलिसियों की पेशकश करने और नवीकरण की अनुमति दी जाती है। In partial modification of Clause 5 of Guidelines on introduction of short-term health insurance policies providing coverage for COVID-19 specific diseases of Circular ref.no: IRDAI/HLT/REG/CIR/156/06/2020 dated 23.06.2020 all insurers are permitted to offer and renew short-term Covid specific health policies up to 30.9.2021.
तदनुसार, परिपत्र संदर्भ सं. आईआरडीएआई/एचएलटी/आरईजी/सीआईआर/163/06/2020 दिनांकित 26.09.2020 की कोविड मानक क्षतिपूर्ति आधारित स्वास्थ्य पॉलिसी के संबंध में दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुसार पेश की गयी कोरोना कवच पॉलिसियों और परिपत्र संदर्भ, सं. आईआरडीएआई/एचएलटी/आरईजी/सीआईआर/164/06/2020 दिनांकित 26.06.2020 के कोविड मानक लाभ आधारित स्वास्थ्य पॉलिसी के संबंध में दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुसार पेश की गयी कोरोना रक्षक पॉलिसियों को, सभी बीमाकर्ताओं द्वारा 30.09.2021 तक पेश किये जाने और नवीकृत करने की अनुमति दी जाती है। Accordingly, Corona Kavach Policies offered as per Guidelines on Covid Standard Indemnity based Health Policy of Circular ref no. IRDAI/HLT/REG/CIR/163/06/2020 dated 26.09.2020 and Corona Rakshak Policies offered as per Guidelines on Covid Standard benefit based Health Policy of Circular ref no. IRDAI/HLT/REG/CIR/164/06/2020 dated 26.06.2020 are permitted to be offered and renewed by all insurers up to 30.9.2021.
अन्य सभी नियम और शर्तें, संबंधित दिशा-निर्देशों के अन्तर्गत जैसा निर्दिष्ट किया गया है, वैध रहेंगी। All other terms and conditions remain valid as specified under the respective guidelines.
