विषय: (क) इलेक्ट्रॉनिक पॉलिसियाँ जारी करना और (ख) स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसियों के संबंध में प्रस्ताव-पत्रों पर स्याही से हस्ताक्षर करने और भौतिक दस्तावेजों का इस्तेमाल बंद करने के संबंध में समय-सीमा का विस्तार Re: Extension of timelines on (a) Issuance of Electronic Policies and (b) dispensing with physical documents and wet signature on the proposal form in respect of health insurance policies

1. (क) इलेक्ट्रॉनिक पॉलिसियाँ जारी करने और (ख) स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसियों के संबंध में प्रस्ताव-पत्रों पर स्याही से हस्ताक्षर करने और भौतिक दस्तावेजों का इस्तेमाल बंद करने, 31.3.2021 तक बीमाकर्ताओं को इलेक्ट्रॉनिक स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसियाँ जारी करने और सभी स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसियों के संबंध में प्रस्ताव प्रपत्रों पर स्याही से हस्ताक्षर करना बंद करने की अनुमति देने के संबंध में दिशा-निर्देश संदर्भ आईआरडीएआई/एचएलटी/आरईजी/सीआईआर/235/09/20 दिनांकित 10.09.2020 की ओर संदर्भ आमंत्रित किया जाता है।

Reference is invited to the guidelines Ref: IRDAI/HLT/REG/CIR/235/09/20 dated 10.9.2020 on (a) Issuance of Electronic Policies and (b) dispensing with physical documents and wet signature on the proposal form in respect of health insurance policies permitting insurers issue electronic health insurance policies and dispensing of wet signature on proposal forms in respect of all health insurance policies up to 31.3.2021.

2. उपरोक्त दिशा-निर्देशों दिनांकित 10.9.2020 की धारा 5 के आंशिक संशोधन में 30.9.2021 तक बीमाकर्ताओं को, उल्लिखित दिशा-निर्देशों के भीतर, जैसा कि निर्दिष्ट किया गया है, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक पॉलिसियाँ जारी करने और भौतिक दस्तावेजों और प्रस्ताव प्रपत्रों पर स्याही से हस्ताक्षर के बिना काम करने की अनुमति दी गयी है।

In partial modification of Clause No. 5 of the above referred guidelines dated 10.9.2020 insurers are allowed to issue electronic policies and dispense with physical documents and wet signature on the proposal forms as specified in the within referred guidelines up to 30.9.2021.

3. उपरोक्त दिशा-निर्देशों के अन्य सभी प्रावधान अपरिवर्तित रहते हैं। All other provisions of the above-referred guidelines remain unchanged.

4. इसको सक्षम प्राधिकारी की स्वीकृति है। This has the approval of the competent authority.
