Short title and comrneN'ement.-{ I) These regulations maybe cailed the Insurance Regu]atmy and Development Alrthority (Obligations ofln.surers to Rural or Social Sectois) (Amendment) Regolations, 2004. (2) ~ come into force from the date of their publication in the Offici.aJ Gazette. l 2.Amendmentofdefinitionof"RunlSector".-Fortheexistingddinitionof"RnralSector''ascontamedinclause(c) of Regulation 2 of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (Obligations oflnsurers to Rural or Social Sectors) Regulations, 2002, the following shall be substituted : "( c) 'Rural Sector' means the places or areas classified as 'rural' while conducting the latest decennial population census (Census of India)."
