All Members,
Market Data - Introduction of Order Snapshot Recovery via TCP/IP for MTBT broadcast in Commodity Segment
This circular is in continuation to Exchange consolidated circular NSE/MSD/74019 dated April 30, 2026 for Market data broadcast.
Order book snapshot recovery through TCP/IP is currently available in the CM, FO and CD segments. To enhance the trading experience, enable greater customization and improve efficiency for members, the Exchange shall now introduce this functionality in the Commodity Derivatives segment as well.
The MTBT Order Book Snapshot Recovery Server provides the latest picture of the order book, constructed from MTBT feed. This Order Book Snapshot is refreshed every 30 seconds. Clients requesting this snapshot recovery will receive all the outstanding orders in the order book till the last refresh time for a particular stream.
Please find below the parameters to connect to the Commodity segment Order Book Snapshot recovery:
| Parameters for Connecting Order Snapshot Recovery in Commodity Derivatives (CO) segment | |
|---|---|
| IP | 172.19.125.84 |
| Port | 10969 |
The effective date of implementation of the above facility shall be October 12, 2026.
Important instructions for implementation of the above:
Members are suggested to use snapshot recovery whenever they have lost large number of ticks on multicast or they have joined the MTBT feed very late. This will reduce the time to recover all the missed ticks through recovery and build the order book up to the latest point. The snapshot recovery needs to be requested by client applications through TCP/IP. After receiving the snapshot message, the client applications are supposed to disconnect. It is possible that the client applications can get disconnected during recovery of snapshot message, due to snapshot message being refreshed at the Exchange end. In such cases client applications can again try to recover the snapshot message.
For further details of implementation, members may refer to the MBT API document (version 7.1) which is available on the Exchange website under the following path:

Please note all other details as mentioned in consolidated circular NSE/MSD/74019 dated April 30, 2026 shall remain unchanged.
