सा.का.जन. 542(अ).––माल के भौगोजलक उपििधन (रजिस्ट्रीकरण और संरक्षण) जनयम, 2002 में आगे और
संिोधन करने के जलए, माल के भौगोजलक उपििधन (रजिस्ट्रीकरण और संरक्षण) अजधजनयम, 1999 की धारा 87 द्वारा
प्रित्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केंद्र सरकार जनम्नजलजखत मसौिा जनयम बनाने का प्रस्ट्ताव करती है, जिन्हें उि धारा
की उप-धारा (1) की अपेक्षा के अनुसार इससे प्रभाजवत होने वाले सभी व्यजियों की िानकारी के जलए एतिद्वारा प्रकाजित
दकया िाता है और यह नोरिस दिया िाता है दक उि मसौिा जनयमों पर, इस अजधसूचना को प्रकाजित करने वाले भारत
के रािपत्र की प्रजतयां, आम लोगों को उपलब्ध कराए िाने की तारीख से तीस दिनों की अवजध समाप्त होने के बाि, जवचार
दकया िाएगा;
आपजत्तयां या सुझाव, यदि कोई हों, सजचव, उद्योग संवधधन और आंतररक व्यापार जवभाग, वाजणज्य और उद्योग
मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार, वाजणज्य भवन, नई दिल्ली- 110001 को या ipr4-dipp@nic.in पर ई-मेल द्वारा भेि दिए िाएं;
जनर्िधष्ट अवजध की समाजप्त से पहले, उि मसौिा जनयमों के संबंध में दकसी भी व्यजि से प्राप्त होने वाली आपजत्तयों

New Delhi, the 11th August, 2025
G.S.R. 542(E).—The following draft rules to further amend the Geographical Indications of Goods
(Registration and Protection) Rules, 2002 which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers
conferred by section 87 of the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999, are hereby
published as required by sub-section (1) of the said section for the information of all persons likely to be affected
thereby, and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period
of thirty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette of India, in which this notification is published, are made
available to the public;
Objections or suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry
and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi- 110011
or by e-mail at “ipr4-dipp@nic.in”;
The objections and suggestions, which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules
before the expiry of the period so specified, will be considered by the Central Government.
DRAFT RULES
1. (1) These rules may be called the draft Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection)
(Amendment) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
