The Central Government proposes the Telecommunications (Migration) Rules, 2025, to allow existing telecommunication licensees to migrate their licenses to relevant authorisations under the Telecommunications Act, 2023. Licensees must apply at least twelve months before license expiry through the designated portal with required details and a non-refundable processing fee of ten thousand rupees. Licensees holding validity of less than twelve months on the commencement date must apply within ninety days. Applicants must clear all pending dues, self-assessment fees, spectrum usage charges, and spectrum auction liabilities before application submission. The Central Government issues a demand letter for the entry fee difference upon approval. Migrated licenses are cancelled and subsumed into the new authorisation without extinguishing prior liabilities.

सा.का.नि.689(अ).–– निम्नलिखित मसौदा नियम, जिन्हें केंद्र सरकार दूरसंचार अधिनियम, 2023 (2023 का 44) की धारा 56 की उपधारा (2) के खंड (घ) के साथ पठित धारा 3 की उपधारा (6) द्वारा प्रदत्त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए बनाने का प्रस्ताव करती है, इसके द्वारा प्रभावित होने की संभावना वाले सभी व्यक्तियों की सूचना के लिए प्रकाशित किए जाते हैं और इसके द्वारा नोटिस दिया जाता है कि उक्त मसौदा नियमों पर उस तारीख से तीस दिन की अवधि की समाप्ति के बाद विचार किया जाएगा, जिस दिन आधिकारिक राजपत्र में प्रकाशित इस अधिसूचना की प्रतियां सर्वसाधारण को उपलब्ध कराई जाती हैं;
यदि कोई आपत्ति या सुझाव हो तो उसे संयुक्त सचिव (दूरसंचार), दूरसंचार विभाग, संचार मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार, संचार भवन, 20, अशोक रोड, नई दिल्ली- 110001 को संबोधित किया जा सकता है।
उक्त अवधि की समाप्ति से पूर्व उक्त प्रारूप नियमों के संबंध में किसी व्यक्ति से प्राप्त आपत्तियों या सुझावों पर केंद्र सरकार द्वारा विचार किया जाएगा।
