Subject: - Initiatives for promoting cybercrime awareness among workers and other stakeholders

Madam/ Sir,

Your kind attention is invited towards Office Memorandum dated 15.10.2026 regarding the above-mentioned subject regarding implementation of cyber security initiatives. In this connection, it is communicated that:

i. Cyber security courses through iGOT Karmayogi:

• a. All officers and staff of ESIC are directed to complete the prescribed cyber security course, Cyber Security, available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal by 31.10.2026.
• b. In addition to the above course, Officers in Assistant Director cadre and above, have to additionally complete Cyber Rakshak: Fundamentals of Cyber Security for Public Officials by the same date.
• c. In addition to the above courses, Cyber Security Nodal Officers and ICT staff have to complete Cybersecurity (Basic Level) and Building Resilient Cybersecurity Systems by 30.11.2026.

ii. Cyber security training session:

• a. A dedicated cyber security awareness session for officers and staff of ESIC shall be organised on 28.10.2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon through VC/ online mode.
• b. The session shall cover prevalent cyber threats, phishing and fraudulent communications, safe use of official IT systems, protection of credentials and personal information, and reporting of cyber security incidents.
• c. VC details for the same would be shared in due course of time.

iii. Nomination of Cyber Security Nodal Officers:

• a. A Cyber Security Nodal Officer, not below the rank of SSO or equivalent, may be nominated in field unit and the details of the same may be communicated to ICT Division, Hqrs through revert mail.

iv. Awareness activities by field units:

• a. Field units are advised to display the approved posters and videos (to be provided by PR Branch) in ESIC hospitals, dispensaries and Branch Offices; disseminate awareness material among employers and Insured Persons; conduct short awareness sessions during stakeholder meetings; and organise suitable programmes in ESIC medical, dental and nursing colleges.

v. Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas:

• a. All field units are advised to observe Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas on the first Wednesday of every month and undertake suitable awareness activities.

All Headquarters Divisions and field units are requested to undertake the activities assigned to them and submit brief compliance and activity reports to ICT Division, Headquarters, indicating the activities conducted, dates, number of participants/beneficiaries and supporting evidence, wherever applicable.
