Subject: Review of the monthly progress report of Revenue Recovery upto September 2026.

Sir/madam,

Please refer to this office letter No. Q-11/24/Audit/2006/RRC dated 05.06.2026 regarding fixation of revenue recovery target for the year 2026-27. The revenue recovery position for the period April 2026 to September 2026 has been reviewed at Hqrs' office and it is observed that only 48.33 % of the proportionate revenue recovery target has been achieved for the financial year 2026-27 which is very poor and viewed very seriously by the higher authority. The field units wise performance uoto September 2026 is attached here for ready reference.

The RD/JD I/c/DD I/c of the filed units where the recovery officers are failed to achieve the proportionate targets are advised to look into the matter personally and seek explanation from the Recovery Officer for not achieving the proportionate target.

Further, the details of action taken thus far, and action proposed towards achieving the target may be submitted by the RD/JD I/c/DD I/c of the filed units, whose proportionate revenue recovery is less than 75%.

As the half of the financial year has already lapsed and overall performance is below 50% of the proportionate target, all RD/JD/DD Incharges are advised to equip recovery officers with required man power and logistic support so that desired revenue recovery target will be achieved.

This should be accorded "Top Priority".
