Exchange has scheduled a mock trading session (from PR site) in Equity segment on Saturday August 01, 2026. As per circular no. 20260319-21, 20260610-41 & 20260728-42 issued regarding introduction of Closing Auction Session (CAS) & Standard Operating Procedures applicable from Monday 03 August 2026, mock trading session has been scheduled as follows –

Members are also requested to refer to Exchange Notice No 20201201-22 dated 1st December'2020 regarding Testing of software used in or related to Trading and Risk Management. Members may choose to participate either in Mock Trading Session or UAT environment for fulfilling their regulatory requirements in accordance to SEBI circular no. SEBI/HO/MRD1/DSAP/CIR/P/2020/234 dated November 24, 2020

Trading members using third party trading platforms can also use this opportunity to test their respective trading application during mock trading session for various functionalities (including exceptional market conditions), viz. various types of call auction sessions, risk-reduction mode, trading halt, block deals, etc.

B. Trading members are requested to note following Important instructions –

  • No separate scrip master shall be provided on mock trading day. Scrip master file generated on end of day of Friday July 31, 2026 to be used on mock trading day as well as for live trading from Monday August 03, 2026. This file shall include details of securities available in Closing Auction Session (CAS). Member may refer the exchange circular - 20260330-40 & 20260422-15 for CAS session identifier introduced in scrip master format.
  • BOLT Pro TWS version New version of BOLT Pro TWS 13.30 shall be released. This version to be used for during mock trading session & as well as for live trading from Monday August 03, 2026. It shall be available for download on July 31, 2026 from 7:00 pm onwards. Details for same shall be published via separate circular.
  • Market data via NFCAST stream shall be available as per new format (version 6.2 published via circular no. 20260709-11) on the existing multicast IP & Port (multicast IP - 227.0.0.1 & Port - 18901) on mock trading day as well as for live trading from Monday August 03, 2026.
  • As informed via circular no. 20260709-11, market data stream MDI / EMDI API new version 1.4.5, which is already applicable for live trading since Monday July 20, 2026, will continue to be available on mock trading day.
  • Closing reference price for CAS eligible securities shall be calculated based on VWAP of trades executed between 03:00pm - 03:15pm.

Trading members using third party trading application are requested to take note and use this opportunity to test their respective trading application for CAS functionality during mock trading session.

Market participants are requested to note that the mock trading session is merely for the purpose of testing and familiarization and that the trades resulting from such mock trading will not attract any margin obligation or pay-in and pay-out obligation and will not create any rights and liabilities. Participants are requested to participate actively in the mock trading sessions.
