Subject: Adoption of best practices for conducting official meetings

The undersigned is directed to circulate herewith the D.O. Letter No. 502/2/3/2026-Cab.III dated 12.06.2026 (copy enclosed) received from the Cabinet Secretariat through Ministry of Labour and Employment vide circular dated 18.06.2026 on the subject cited above.

The Cabinet Secretariat has emphasized the importance of continuous self-improvement, effective administrative practices and adherence to professional standards in day-to-day government functioning. In this regard, the Cabinet Secretariat, in consultation with the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG), has issued the guidelines titled "Conducting an Official Meeting." to promote greater efficiency, professionalism and effectiveness in the conduct of official meetings.

Accordingly, all officers/officials of ESIC are requested to study and adopt the suggestions contained in the enclosed guidelines while conducting official meetings and carrying out related administrative work.

This is issued with the approval of Director General.
