The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has issued a clarification regarding the implementation date of revised Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) package rates. Following inquiries, ESIC confirms that the revised rates, previously adopted via an Office Memorandum dated 05-01-2026, are effective from the same date as specified in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW) Office Memorandum No. 5-16/CGHS(HQ)/HEC/2024 (Part1) dated 03.10.2025. The MOHFW rates were adopted in their entirety by ESIC, and this clarification serves to align the implementation timeline across all ESIC medical and administrative establishments.

MEMORANDUM
Subject: Clarification regarding the effective date of revised CGHS package rates
Please refer to this office OM dated 05-01-2026 vide which revised CGHS package rates notified vide Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW) Office Memorandum No. 5-16/CGHS(HQ)/HEC/2024 (Part1) dated 03.10.2025, was adopted in ESIC. In this regard, various references are being received in this office seeking clarification regarding the effective date of the revised CGHS Rates.
In this regard, it is clarified that the OM dated 03.10.2025 of MOHFW was adopted in toto, by ESIC. Hence the effective date of the revised CGHS Rates in ESIC are same as that is in the said OM of MOHFW.
This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
