With reference to this office letter dated 23.08.2023 regarding procurement and payments through GeM, it is reiterated that all units must ensure timely payment to vendors. In this regard, all units are hereby directed to ensure that all GeM payments, including MSME payments, are completed within 10 days from the date of generation of CRAC (including auto-generated CRAC). In case any payment is not made within the stipulated 10 days, the concerned unit may be required to provide suitable justification. Such instances of delay should be clearly explained in the monthly GeM pendency report submitted by the unit. It is also emphasized that all units must strictly monitor pending payments and ensure timely clearance to avoid any delay. This issues with the approval of competent authority.
