Memorandum Subject: Functions/Events to be Observed on 24.02.2026 for Commemoration of 75th ESIC Foundation Day– reg.
In continuation of this Office letter of even number dated 27.01.2026, it is informed that, in addition to the activities already instructed to be observed on 24.02.2026 and during the ESIC Special Services Fortnight up to 10.03.2026, the following activities shall also be organized at the local level on 24.02.2026, to commemorate 75 years of ESIC’s service in providing a social security net to the workforce of the country:
Organization of an event/seminar at the local level wherein local dignitaries and ESI stakeholders may be invited to mark the occasion and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
Felicitation of insured workers, dependants, pensioners, and the ESIC pensioners (retired employees of ESIC) in recognition of their long-standing association with the ESI Scheme and ESIC.
Invitation to representatives of the State Government, ESIS Scheme, Labour Department, Employers’ & Employees’ Associations to ensure coordination and participation of key stakeholders.
Panel discussion/seminar with experts to deliberate on the social security benefits provided under the ESI Scheme, particularly in the context of the Code on Social Security, for wider awareness.
Special focus about coverage, eligibility, and benefits available under the ESI Scheme under the new CoSS.
May include interactive session with employers to discuss issues related to compliance, ease of doing business, etc., in light of the provisions of the Code on Social Security. E-13/14/15/2025-PR I/3535031/2026
Screening of short awareness films/audio-visual clips during the event highlighting the genesis of ESIC and its evolving role following the implementation of the Code on Social Security (AVs will be made available for download in the Publication Section of the ESIC Website by this Branch in due course). It is informed that the respective budget under the Head “Expenses on Seminar/Workshops" and/or "Publicity & Advertisement” may be utilized for the purpose of activities mentioned above. In cities or districts where more than two ESIC field units (i.e. RO/SRO/Hospital/Medical College) are located, the events may be organized jointly or in close coordination among them, with the consent /approval of the Heads of the respective offices/institutions. All ESIC Field Offices, Hospitals, and Medical Institutions are also requested to submit a brief report on the activities carried out, along with good-quality photographs of the events organized on 24.02.2026, to this office for publicity through the official social media handles of ESIC Headquarters. Besides, it is requested to publicise the observance of 75 years of ESIC’s service to the workforce and its evolved role following the implementation of the Code on Social Security, through the tweet banks to be provided by this office, using the respective social media handles. This has the approval of the Competent Authority.
