Check the official recordThe Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) publishes the list of vacant clinical posts for the Annual General Transfer (AGT) 2026. Medical Officers may apply for transfers based on their cadre and specialization where sanctioned posts exist. Applicants must submit between 3 and 10 options via the online portal. Medical Officers choose either an administrative vacancy or a clinical vacancy but not both. Teaching faculty transfers follow specific Medical Education Division guidelines. Sir/Madam, The Policy for Transfer/posting of Medical Officers to Administrative and Clinical posts in Employees' State Insurance Corporation has been circulated vide ESIC Hqrs. No. A-22/1/2022-MED-VI dated 17.12.2024. A list of vacant clinical posts (Speciality, Cadre and Location wise) for transfer / posting under AGT 2026 is annexed herewith (Annexure-1) for information. Following is informed as per the Committee Recommendations: All Medical Officers may apply for transfer as per their cadre and specialization in locations were sanctioned post is available under the same cadre and specialization. Any GDMO/ Specialist who has been designated as teaching faculty may apply for transfer in ESIC Medical Colleges. The transfer of designated Teaching Faculty is governed by the conditions stipulated in the Medical Education Division OM dated 10.05.2022 (No. L-11/12/3/2022): All Medical Officers applying for transfer/posting shall submit a minimum of 3 options and may submit up to 10 options. The Medical Officer can be posted to any one of the submitted options and cannot later claim that the first option should necessarily have been prioritized. To ensure continuity and stability of medical services, the Committee recommends that not more than 10% of the Medical Officers should be transferred out from any location. However, the Competent Authority may approve a deviation from this limit in view of administrative exigencies. Mere existence of a vacancy does not confer any right for posting to that station. Transfer/postings will continue to be governed by the overriding principle of organizational interest, ensuring uninterrupted and efficient delivery of medical care to Insured Persons and their dependents.
The transfer posting shall be governed by the provisions specified in transfer policy for Medical Officers dated 17-12-2024. It is reiterated that as per clause 7 b, Medical Officer can either submit his/her preference for administrative vacancy or clinical vacancy but not for both. Schedule for Online Option Process: Option Submission by Medical Officers: 8 th December 2025 to 13 th December 2025. Forwarding by HOA with Comments/Recommendations: 14 th December 2025 to 17 th December 2025. Forwarding by Zonal Medical Commissioner (ZMC) with Comments / Recommendation: 18th December 2025 to 21st December 2025. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
