OFFICE ORDER NO. 197/2026 The requests for refusal of promotion submitted by the following Private Secretaries for promotion to the post of Principal Private Secretary (PPS) have been accepted. Accordingly, the regular promotion of these officers to the post of PPS, ordered vide Headquarters Office Order No. 155 of 2026 dated 22.07.2026, is hereby cancelled:

2. Further, in terms of Para 17.12 of DoPT's O.M. No. 22011/5/86-Estt.(D) dated 10.04.1989, no fresh offer of promotion shall be made to the above- mentioned officers for a period of one year from the date of refusal of first promotion or till the next vacancy arises, whichever is later.
3. On their eventual promotion to the higher grade, the above-mentioned officers shall lose seniority vis-à-vis their juniors promoted to the higher grade earlier, in terms of the aforesaid DoPT instructions.
