The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has approved the grant of financial up-gradation under the Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) Scheme for eight officials in the Personal Assistant cadre. The approval follows recommendations from a Screening Committee meeting held on July 3, 2026. Affected officials are granted either 2nd or 3rd MACP, with pay fixed at Pay Level 8 under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Officials must exercise their option for pay fixation under FR 22(I)(a)(1) within one month of the order's issuance. Regional Directors and heads of offices are required to verify service records for each official before implementing the up-gradation and report any discrepancies to the Headquarters office.

The Competent Authority on the recommendations of the Screening Committee in the meeting held on 03-07-2026, has approved/ordered grant of financial upgradation to the following officials in the cadre of Personal Assistant under the terms of Govt. of India instructions dated 22/10/2019 on ACP/MACP Scheme as per details mentioned against the name of each :-

Above financial up-gradation under the ACP/MACP Scheme shall be subject to the terms and condition mentioned in DoP&T OM No. 35034/3/2015 -Estt.(d) dated 22/10/2019 and further instructions/ clarification issued from time to time and circulated by Establishment Branch -III, Hqrs. Office on the subject. Further, the cases of the officials holding a higher post on purely ad-hoc basis before the date of recommendation of financial up-gradation, if, any, may be regulated as per para 25 of Annexure -I of ibid DoP&T OM dated 22/10/2019.
On up-gradation under the MACP Scheme, pay of an employee shall be fixed as per para 4 to 7 of Annexure-I DoP&T OM dated 22/10/2019 and the officials shall have to exercise the option of fixation of pay within one month from the date of issue of order, under the provision of FR 22 (I)(a)(1). Before allowing the financial up-gradation as per the details above, the RD/Director/JD/DD(I/c) may verify about each official concerned from their service records. Discrepancy if any, may be immediately brought to the notice of Hqrs Office.
This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
